e-Asia Landslide Field Excursion at Doi Chang village
We had a field excursion at Doi Chang village.

Stop 1 Doi Chang View – Coffee & Food (19°48’48.4″N 99°33’53.1″E)
Dr. Suree and Dr. Suwith explained the outline of the landslide at Doi Chang village by using some documents written by Dr. Suttisak, an associate professor of Kasetsart University. Landslides have repeatedly occurred due to rainfall and earthquakes in Doi Chang village. Dr. Suttisak team including JICA team has already installed the inclinometer, rain gage and groundwater level gage etc. and made a map of planar F.S (Factor of Safety) distribution.

We discussed geology, elevation and rainfall etc. of Doi Chang village in Chiang Rai and Doi Pui village in Chiang Mai.
